The angel said, “All the gardens in our heaven are representative forms or models of the origins of heavenly blessings. An actual inflow of these blessings lifts human minds.” -from True Christianity #741

The retreat will be held over the Memorial Day weekend at the beautiful St. Dorothy’s Rest Retreat Center, nestled in the redwood hills of Sonoma County California. All are welcome to join us in a weekend of fun, relaxation, and Swedenborgian explorations.

The Retreat is a great time to make new Swedenborgian friends and reconnect with old ones. St. Dorothy’s Rest is the perfect setting to unwind from work-a-day stress and reconnect with your spiritual side.

The program includes

  • Interesting and exciting workshops,
  • Programs for children,
  • Matins & Vespers services created and led by retreat participants,
  • Campfire with sing-along and s’mores

There is plenty of time to relax, read, walk the forest paths, shop at the quaint boutiques in near-by Occidental or have fun on the Russian River or at the Pacific Ocean.

The retreat starts with a light dinner on Friday, May 26th and ends after breakfast on Monday May 29th.

About St. Dorothy’s Rest

Chapel Panorama flattened and distortedLocated in Camp Meeker, Sonoma County, a redwood forest provides a magnificent backdrop for St. Dorothy’s Rest, as the majestic trees lend an aura of serenity to all of camp and instill in guests an appreciation of nature. Retreat guests are welcomed into a rich historical tradition at the oldest continually operating summer camp in California, sleeping in historic buildings from the Arts-and-Crafts movement of the early 1900s.
